When "San Miguel" brewery company and “Innova franchises" commissioned me the corporative identity of Cañas y Tapas franchise, the classic taverns in Madrid and in the most of Spain were in decline, except for some very honorable exceptions, for the majority public of the big cities , the classic hostelry lacked interest. In the visual identity of Cañas y Tapas we recover shapes and colours of the large traditional establishments of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, adapting them to the current reality. An identity that has been imitated (and even copied) and that helped to recover the prestige of the traditional taverns and restaurants in the big cities.
